Prof. Hesuan Hu

Xidian University, China

 

Biography: HeSuan Hu (Senior Member, IEEE) received the BS degree in computer engineering and the MS and PhD degrees in electro-mechanical engineering from Xidian University, Xi’an, China, in 2003, 2005, and 2010, respectively. He is currently a full professor with Xidian University. He is a holder of more than 40 issued and filed patents in his fields of expertise. His current research interests include discrete event systems and their supervisory control techniques, Petri nets, automated manufacturing systems, multimedia streaming systems, autonomous vehicles, cyber security, and artificial intelligence. He has more than 180 publications in journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings in the above areas. He was a recipient of many national and international awards, including the Franklin V. Taylor Memorial Award for Outstanding Papers from the IEEE SMC Society, in 2010 and the finalists of the Best Automation Paper from the IEEE ICRA Society, in 2013, 2016, and 2017. He has been an associate editor of the IEEE Control Systems Magazine, IEEE Robotics and Automation Magazine, IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering, IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters, and Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing. He is an IEEE distinguished lecturer.

 

 

 

Prof. Zhiliang Liu

ISEAM Fellow

University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, China

 

Biography: Zhiliang Liu is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), Chengdu, China. His research interests include intelligent maintenance for complex machinery using advanced signal processing and artificial intelligence methods.

He is a fellow member of The International Society of Engineering Asset Management (ISEAM Fellow) and has been recognized as Top 2% Scientists Worldwide 2023 by Stanford University. He has authored over 120 peer-reviewed papers and one academic monograph. Moreover, he has filed over 50 national invention patents and successfully implemented one patented technology transfer. He has been invited to be an evaluation expert for the National Natural Science Foundation and is part of the National Postgraduate Education Evaluation and Monitoring expert database. In addition to his academic contributions, Dr. Liu actively participates in the international academic community by taking on program chair, publicity chair, and session chair roles in several international conferences. Apart from academia, he is a consultant for two companies and is recognized as an expert in the Chengdu Bureau of Industry and Information Technology expert database.

 

 

 

Prof. Teng Li

Shandong University, China

 

Biography: Teng Li is a Professor in the School of Control Science and Engineering at Shandong University. He is the recipient of the Overseas Outstanding Youth Fund of Shandong Province and the Taishan Scholar of Shandong Province. His research focuses on artificial intelligence and robotics, pattern recognition and intelligent systems. He has presided over or participated in more than 20 research projects, including the projects supported by the National Key R&D Program and the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and others. He has published over 50 high-quality academic papers, with over 2,200 citations on Google Scholar. He has served as the Publication Chair, Session Chair and Program Committee Member for numerous international conferences.

 

 

 

Prof. Michael Khoo Boon Chong

Biography: Michael B.C. Khoo is a Professor at the School of Mathematical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). He received his PhD in Applied Statistics in 2001 from USM. His research interest is in Statistical Process Control and Statistical Quality Control. He has authored and co-authored about 300 papers in reputable peer-reviewed international journals, most of which are indexed in the SCI/SCIE database, including Q1 and Q2 journals indexed in the Web of Science (WoS) database. His research articles were published in Quality and Reliability Engineering International, International Journal of Industrial Engineering: Theory, Applications and Practice, REVSTAT – Statistical Journal, International Journal of Production Research, Quality Engineering, International Journal of Production Economics, Communications in Statistics – Simulation and Computation, Communications in Statistics – Theory and Methods, Technometrics, Journal of Quality Technology, Quality Technology & Quantitative Management, IIE Transactions, European Journal of Operational Research, Computers & Industrial Engineering, Journal of Statistical Computation and Simulation, and Computational Statistics & Data Analysis. He has a total of 6537 citations and an h-index of 41 in the Scopus database. His h-index in the WoS database is 32. He was listed as the Top 2% Scientists in the World in their Respective Fields (Citation Impact in Single Year) by Stanford University (USA) for the year 2019, 2020 and 2022. He was ranked 3rd in Malaysia and 2599th in the world for Best Scientists in Mathematics for the Year 2023 by Research.com. 3 of his articles have been awarded the Top Cited Article 2021-2022 (John Wiley). He sits on the editorial boards of Quality and Reliability Engineering International (John Wiley & Sons), European Journal of Industrial Engineering (Inderscience) and Measurement-Interdisciplinary Research and Perspectives (Taylor & Francis). He has reviewed 229 journal articles, where most of them are indexed in the WoS database.
